Correct. Your plan is priced by number of locations, not headcount. A Starter client with 6 barbers at one shop pays exactly the same as a Starter client with 2. A Growth client with 18 workers across three locations pays the same as one with 9. This matters because self-employed workers — booth renters, chair renters, independent artists — come and go. One joins mid-month, another takes time off, a new esthetician signs on. If we charged per worker, you'd be constantly recalculating your costs around staffing changes that have nothing to do with the value you're getting. Flat rate. Always.

No. The 60-day free trial is available on 1-year, 2-year, and 3-year contracts and requires no credit card to start. You sign the contract, your Program Specialist connects your payment system and walks you through the platform, and you run everything live for 60 days before your first billing date. If you decide not to continue, there is no charge and no penalty. Month-to-month plans do not include a free trial — billing begins on day one. We structured it this way because we want clients on annual contracts to have real time with the platform before any money changes hands.

We do. Growth and Scale clients receive an in-person training day at one of their locations — your Program Specialist travels to you, and Seat Strategies covers all associated costs: flights, accommodation, and ground transportation. There are no additional charges to you. Travel is booked after your contract is signed and confirmed. Scale clients also receive a 30-day follow-up session after the initial training day to make sure everything is running the way it should. If you operate across multiple cities and want training at more than one location, reach out — we handle those arrangements case by case.

All plans require 60 days written notice to cancel, sent to support@seatstrategies.com with your account name and billing email. For month-to-month plans, cancellation takes effect 60 days after we receive your written notice — billing continues through that window. For fixed-term contracts (1-year, 2-year, 3-year), early termination means the remaining contract balance is owed in full. There are no partial refunds on fixed-term contracts. Once your account closes, your data is retained for 90 days — during which you can request a full export of everything. After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems.

You can upgrade at any time. If you're on Starter and open a second location, you move to Growth. If you're on Growth and scale past three locations, you move to Scale. The prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle is applied to your next invoice — you never pay twice for the same period. Adding a new location inside the portal takes a few minutes: connect the payment system, and that location appears across your entire dashboard immediately. If you're on a fixed-term contract, your new rate locks in for the remaining term. We'll reach out before you hit a plan limit — we won't wait for you to discover it yourself.

Your data stays yours. Before your account closes, you can export everything — revenue history by location and worker, client records, payout summaries, expense logs, inventory data, and all reports — as PDF or CSV. We retain all your data for 90 days after your cancellation date. After 90 days, it is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it for any purpose beyond delivering the platform to you.
